The internet is flooded with "get ready with me" videos, and for good reason. Women everywhere are seeking that perfect formula to start their day feeling organized, energized, and ready to conquer whatever lies ahead.

While those glossy morning routines on social media look effortless, the reality is that creating a smooth morning flow takes intentional planning and the right tools.

I haven’t figure it all out yet, but I’ve been on the hunt for ways to make our mornings less frantic, one system and tool at a time.

Here are nine game-changing tech solutions that I think can finally transform our mornings from chaotic to calm.

1. Set It and Forget It: Programmable Coffee Machines

Nothing beats the aroma of fresh coffee. A programmable coffee machine lets you prepare your brew the night before and wake up to a perfectly timed cup. Look for models with built-in grinders for maximum freshness, or consider smart coffee makers that you can control from your phone. Some even learn your preferences and adjust brewing strength and temperature automatically.

Most mornings we actually opt for tea, so having an electric kettle has been one of my favorite additions to the kitchen.

2. Curate Your Morning Soundtrack

Music has the power to set your entire mood for the day. Smart speakers and home automation systems allow you to schedule energizing playlists that gradually increase in volume, creating a natural wake-up experience. You can even set different playlists for different days, maybe upbeat pop for Monday motivation or calming acoustic for a relaxed Sunday morning.

I have a go-to playlist for gym days that helps me get focused and hyped up to push through the workout. We go at 5:30 in the morning so I never actually want to be there. The music helps 😂.

3. Master the Art of Capsule Dressing

Decision fatigue is real, especially when you're staring at a closet full of clothes at 6 AM. Apps like Stylebook or Cladwell take the guesswork out of outfit selection by creating a digital capsule wardrobe. These platforms help you photograph your clothes, create outfit combinations, and even suggest what to wear based on weather and your schedule. Some apps will even remind you when it's time to rotate seasonal pieces.

4. Upgrade Your Shower Experience

A smart shower system can transform those rushed morning shower into an invigorating spa-like experience. These systems allow you to preset your ideal water temperature and pressure, some even include chromotherapy lighting and aromatherapy features. Voice-controlled models let you start your shower while you're still brushing your teeth, ensuring it's the perfect temperature when you step in.

5. Help Your Kids Wake Up Independently

If you're a parent, you know that getting kids moving in the morning can be a major time drain. Smart alarm clocks designed for children can display visual schedules, play wake-up messages, and even use color-coding to show when it's time to get up versus when it's still quiet time. Some models integrate with smart home systems to gradually brighten room lights, making wake-up more natural and less jarring.

When shopping for options, check if the alarm requires a subscription. We purchased a Hatch after being influenced online (I’m the kid that needs help waking up in our house), and was completely surprised when we realized it required a monthly subscription to use all the features.

6. Automate Your Daily Briefing

Your smartphone can become your personal morning assistant with the right automations.

Set up voice announcements that remind you to charge your phone before bed, or schedule traffic updates to play while you're getting dressed. Apple's Shortcuts app and Android's automation features can create custom morning routines that deliver weather updates, calendar reminders, and even motivational quotes, all hands-free while you're multitasking.

I set an automation that tells me out-loud to charge my phone whenever it hits 15% so now I never wake up in the morning with a dead battery.

7. Never Miss Your Vitamins Again

Consistency is key when it comes to supplements and medications, but remembering to take them in the morning rush can be challenging. Smart pill dispensers can organize your daily vitamins and medications, sending reminders to your phone and even tracking whether you've taken them. Some models connect to health apps to help you monitor your wellness routine over time.

How much time do you spend looking for your keys, wallet, or bag each morning? Smart tags like Apple AirTags or Tile trackers can be attached to your essential items, allowing you to locate them instantly through your phone. Set up a designated spot for these items near your door, and you'll never have to frantically search again.

I keep one in my wallet and on my keys which has been a game changer for my ADHD brain. Now I just need to find a way to put one on my bank card 🤦🏾‍♀️.

9. Stay Hydrated from the Start

Proper hydration affects everything from your energy levels to your skin, but it's easy to forget to drink enough water when you're rushing around. Smart water bottles track your intake and send gentle reminders to your phone throughout the day. Some models even maintain your ideal water temperature and sync with fitness apps to adjust hydration goals based on your activity level.

If you don’t want to use a specific bottle, you can also track your water intake in habit apps like Finch. Its been the one routine app I’ve been able to stick with. I use it to track my my morning and night routines.

Making It Work for You

The key to a successful morning routine isn't about implementing every single tech solution, it's about identifying your biggest morning pain points and addressing them strategically. Start with one or two things that target your specific challenges, whether that's chronic lateness, decision fatigue, or simply feeling disorganized.

What’s been helping you get your days off to a good start?
